You’ll get cheaper prices on selected Manuka Doctor honeys from today as import tariffs on goods from New Zealand become abolished later this month.
The UK Government’s Free Trade Agreement with New Zealand means that import tariffs on many imported goods, including the duty on Manuka Honey, will be officially removed from 31st May 2023.
But Manuka Doctor shoppers do not need to wait until then to start saving money…
That’s because we’re offering you Early Duty Savings from today on selected products, saving you on the RRP price of a jar.
It’s a move that we hope all New Zealand brands – and UK retailers who sell New Zealand products - will follow our lead on; acting as honest retailers should to pass savings in duty directly to you, our loyal customers.
Commenting on the reduction in our honey RRP prices, Matt Steele from our UK PR Team said:
“Almost overnight the cost of our raw product will fall because we no longer need to pay HMRC duty on every container of Manuka honey we import from our beehives in New Zealand.
“Now more than ever, we think our loyal customers deserve a good deal.
“Removing import tariffs means we can start to reduce our honey RRPs as soon as possible, starting with these Early Duty deals.
“We hope this promotion makes it sweeter for everyone’s wallet when you shop online with Manuka Doctor.”
Commenting on the Free Trade Agreement, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said:
“As some of our closest allies, and greatest friends, I am delighted our first built from scratch trade deals are with New Zealand and Australia.”
While the International Trade Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan said: “This deal will slash red tape, remove all tariffs and make it easier for companies.”
